Brian Gray was born in Lakeland, Florida, but proudly considers Greenville, South Carolina, his home. With a passion for nature that began at a young age, Brian started working in the landscape industry at 16, cutting grass for friends and family. Over the years, his love for trees and plants has grown into a dedicated career that spans over 17 years, encompassing all aspects of the landscape profession.
Throughout his career, Brian has gained experience in a variety of areas, including landscape maintenance, installation, plant health care, tree pruning and removal, and lawn care. His deep commitment to his work is reflected in his personal mission statement: “Creating a sustainable urban forest for future generations.” This mission fuels his ongoing dedication to environmental stewardship and the preservation of healthy urban ecosystems.
A certified arborist for 9 years, Brian holds specialized qualifications that underscore his expertise. He has been TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualified) for 6 years and a licensed pesticide applicator for 14 years. His knowledge and skillset ensure that the landscapes he works on are not only beautiful but also healthy and sustainable.
In addition to his technical credentials, Brian has served on the board of Trees Upstate, a nonprofit organization focused on urban forestry and tree preservation. His work with Trees Upstate demonstrates his commitment to advancing community-based initiatives that promote the planting and care of trees in urban environments.
